BioWhen Zack was younger he was supported by his parents, caring for his mother. From such a young age he wanted to become a hero. When the opportunity presented itself in the for of SOLDIER he immediately stepped up to the plate, wanting to do good.
At a still quite young age he made it up to SOLDIER second class, yet during this time he was anxious for his first mission. When it came to him, many things went wrong. He had to infiltrate, but then a road bump presented itself. Ex-SOLDIER Genesis was there, and while Angeal was holding back some of the clones so Zack could take Lazard to safety, he went missing. Here Zack met Sephiroth.
More missions came and Zack was promoted to first class, ranking right along with his hero Sephiroth. He also came to befriend Cloud, and meet his love Aerith. Both of them became important in his world. he was happy for the first time in a long time.
However, in not to long this temporary happiness faded away. This was too wonderful to last, after all. His world collapsed when he finally had to face that Angeal was going to fight him. Zack had to kill the most important figure in his life. Though he was supported by his loved ones, he hid the pain, focusing on friends living, and his SOLDIER duties. His life was coming back, but then another one of his friends came to. Sephiroth snapped just as he was invited to meet Cloud's parents, destroying Cloud's hometown.
And then he and Cloud were captured, subject to Mako testing. Unfortunately, Cloud's body couldn't take it as well and when they escaped all Zack cared about was getting the comatose man to safety, talking to him whether he could here the caring words or not, keeping him informed on the events in their life on the run. Soon enough they were caught. Rather then Cloud die, Zack sacrificed himself for his friend, protecting him to the end, and handing over his legacy to the blonde, the Buster Sword, and his final words.
